The 'Old Rustbucket' - Sentinel Scout Walker
This was the first model I got where I had what could be called 'buyer's remorse', I honestly thought it looked so ugly, but painting him after Ravager One was a real treat. I did rush it a little, but on the other hand I was confident enough where I felt that I could pick up the pace, and I'd say it paid off! I dry brushed the hell out of this guy with platinum and Fire Dragon Orange, which gave him exactly the rusty and beat-up look I wanted him to have. I also followed my gut and instead of using my traditional Nuln Oil Shade Gloss that I use to mark my minis as painted and ready for technical paint I instead chose to use Agrax Earthshade, which further heightened his worn and beat up appearance. Yes, some of the sensor lights are a little obscured now, but I don't think it matters too much. I also had a lot of fun making the base tell a little story. It's not exactly happy times on Yffain...
